2nd August 2007 Blue Hole again!

Hello to everybody from Dahab,
This day started at 7 o’clock with pancakes, so hated by those being here for three weeks already. The ones that just came here find them quite tasty so far , but we’ll see how this changes in 14 days!!!

The wind was already blowing durring the night so in the morning the sea was very wavy. David, after a talking to Martin, tried to move the training to the afternoon, when the wind and the waves were supposed to be calming down. But we couldn’t get the boat’s captain woken up so the whole group had to go to the port and go aboard. After gettin everything and everybody on board the boat took off. The anchoring went smoothly. After stories from previous days the anchoring time was as much as 350 % faster.

The waves and the wind weren’t calming down so we kept waiting for better conditions till about 12 o’clock. Finally Martin canceled the training due to conditions and moved it to the late afternoon at the Blue Hole.

After lunch we enjoyed a short nap and then hooray to the Blue Hole. Departure was set for 4 p.m. We were all very surprised that we couldn’t stay at the locality after 5:30 p.m. That’s why everybody had to get ready for the dive really fast. Martin did his breath-up and went for his journey to 90 meters where he posed for photographers for 30 seconds. As Martin says, the dives at the Blue Hole are great, such a perfect light cannot be found anywhere else. Even though Martin is getting tired, also because of his previous health problems, the dive went well.

Good evening to all of you from the whole team
